Matriarki itself means a family, group, or community led by women. In this society, women have a very high position and had a huge influence. 1. Mosuo (China)

Mosuo community living in the provinces of Sichuan and Yunnan, which borders directly with Tibet. The tribal community usually stay in a very large house and led by women. The division of roles between men and women in these places is very unique. Women take care of the problem while males have a role in politics. Every child born in this tribe would have surnames derived directly from his mother.

2. Minangkabau (Indonesia)

Minangkabau society is one of the largest tribes in the world who still are matrilineal. In this society the family name and various treasures passed down from mother to daughter. In Minangkabau society, women usually take care of various decisions of households and families. The man in this tribe has a greater role in politics and as a religious leader.

 

3. Akan (Ghana)

Would the majority of the community living in Ghana and there are several in the surrounding countries. Like most people who embrace this system, identity, heritage, and social status of a child is determined from the mother. Leaders at this rate usually remains the man, just descended from a line of women.

4. Bribri (Costarica)

BriBri is a tribe which is quite small with only 13 thousand members who live in the province of Limon, Costa Rica. This community has a number of clans that came and passed down through female lineage. A legacy of the land can not be given to women only. In addition, women also have a very important role in a variety of sacred rituals of the community.

5. Garo (India)

 

Garo people living in northeast India and is located in the state of Meghalaya. In this society of political power and land ownership inherited from the mother to the youngest daughter has. History Of The Chinese New Year, IMLEK

Day 1 ( one ) month 1 ( one ) Lunar Calendar , or often referred to in terms mandarin " Zhen Yue Chu Yi " is the first day of the year and is celebrated as Chinese New Year or also known as the term " Chun Jie " in Chinese . The term " Chun Jie " or " Feast of Spring" is used because that day is also the beginning of the start of Spring in one year . Spring is a season of four seasons in countries located in the northern part of the planet.

There are two stories about the origins of the Chinese New Year or IMLEK , including :

1. The Giant "Nian" and Tradition Dinner Together

In the old days, there was a kind of giant highly malignant and live in the forests of the mountains, the people at the time called it a "Nian". Forms Giant "Nian" very fierce and frightening, extremely cruel nature. Food Giant "Nian" is the wild animals, birds, insects and humans. Every day eat the types of food vary.

Everyone at that time was very scared by this ferocious giants. But beriringnya time, slowly people know and master all the activities of the Giants, every 365 days, Giant Nian would go to the busy throng to hunt for prey. Giant Nian discharge time is in the evening when the sun had set and return to his mountain at dawn when the Rooster crowed.

Once you know when to appear and take control of its giant Nian, people at that time always preparing and keeping watch on the face of this ferocious giants including not sleep at night, which is then referred to as "Nian Guan".

Ways to deal with Giant Nian is: 

• On the night in question, every family prepare food for dinner earlier than usual, so there is no activity in the kitchen cooking.
• Close and lock all doors either the front door or the back door
• Hidden at home for dinner with the family, or so-called "Nian Fan Ye". Because the dinner is very dangerous and risky, the dinner will be more comfortable and special.
• Offer food to the gods and ancestors to obtain the patronage of them in order to be free from the threat of giant Nian
• When Spot, all family members sit in a circle as a symbol of family harmony.
• After Dinner, whoever did not dare to sleep, and all the family members sitting close together so do not be afraid to Dawn, Rooster crowing indicating that it is free from the threat of giant Nian.

Thus Dinner customs and traditions not to be on the eve of the Lunar New Year and lasts up to now become tradition Typical Lunar New Year although currently there is no threat of giant Nian again. Feelings of fear and worry is no more, there is feeling happy, happy and full of hope.

2. Creation of the IMLEK Lunar Calendar , the young man named  "Wan Nian"

In the old days in mainland China there was a young man named "Wan Nian [万年]" to see the chaos of the season at the time of the calculation, there was an intention to improve the way the season to make it more accurate calculation. One day, the young man tired of working and sit under a tree to rest. He was then inspired by Shadow Tree engaged thus creating a tool for monitoring the movement of the sun's shadow in order to determine and measure the time in one day.

Then, the water droplets from the cliff also inspired him to create a five-story tool named "Wu Ceng Lou Hu [五层 漏壶]" to measure time.

With the tools that he created, he found that each season will be repeated every day 360s.

The king then called "Zu Yi [祖乙]" is also often confused with the problem situation seasonal changes can not be predicted. Youth "Wan Nian" then brings his creation tools to meet the King. Wan Nian shows astrology and said to King Zu Yi , " now 12 months is already full , one year is over, Spring is back again . Wan Nian Zu Yi then asked King to determine the Hari Raya in question . King Zu Yi then said : " Now is the Spring which is also the first season in a year , then we call it the Feast of Spring " . That is the origin of the first advent of the Feast of Spring or the Lunar New Year that we know today.
